May 5, 2024
Friends and Partners,
I am writing you today to let you know that after 61 years, the Christian Evangelistic Association (CEA) is changing our name. Beginning June 1st, 2024 we will begin operating as Evergreen Network. Included in this envelope is a vision booklet that shares a bit about these changes and our exciting plans for the future.
The first thing you will notice is that while our name has changed, our values and our mission remains the same–– to share the transformative power of the gospel by establishing healthy, multiplying churches throughout the Pacific Northwest.
We remain committed to establishing churches that are patterned after the New Testament and share Restoration Movement principles. Further, we are also committed to exclusively establishing churches in the Pacific Northwest (WA,OR,ID,AK & BC). There is plenty of work to be done in our region and we have no plans to expand beyond our boarders.
So why the change? As our Board of Directors went through a time of strategic planning last Fall, we felt an updated name would help us to better connect with other Christian Churches around the US as we invite them to assist us in our mission. There are actually many Christian Evangelistic Associations around the country, and we wanted to avoid confusion and ensure we are effectively representing our region. The word “evergreen” is synonymous with the Pacific Northwest and symbolizes the timelessness of the gospel that is our enduring hope.
So what does this mean for you? You will begin receiving material from Evergreen Network in your email inboxes and physical mailboxes. So be on the lookout. You will see the name change reflected on our social media platforms and will be able to access information via our new website, evergreen.network.
If you are a financial partner, we ask that you begin using Evergreen Network on your checks and bill pay contributions beginning June 1st. Our address remains the same. If If you are a reoccurring giver online through our giving portal, everything will remain the same and no action is needed.
Should you have any questions at all, you can reach out to Dottie Johnson by emailing her at [email protected] or you can reach out to me personally at [email protected].
We couldn’t be more excited about the future. God is up to something special in the PNW! Thank you for your continued prayers and support!
Sincerely,
Toney Salva
Executive Director
