Corvallis Project
Corvallis, Oregon
Aaron & Tatum Nelson have spent the last 6 years building and leading a rapidly growing Campus Ministry at Missouri State University. During that time, they felt a compelling call to continue reaching the next generation with the gospel in a new context— Corvallis, OR.
Corvallis is a quintessential college town. With a population of around 60,000, it is home to 25,000 students at Oregon State University. These students will become spouses, parents, community leaders, and cultural influencers, yet less than 5% of them are connected to a thriving, gospel-centered church that can help them navigate life’s deepest questions.
We believe God can do in Corvallis what He promises in Ephesians: “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” The Nelsons and their team are confident that a multi-generational church has the power to transform both the campus and the city.
The Nelsons and their team will start their work in the Fall of 2026 by launching a Salt Co. campus ministry at Oregon State University. Then in January of 2027, they plan to begin weekly public gatherings as a church in Corvallis.
