The Crucial Role of Partnership Teams
Each new church established by Evergreen Network is overseen by an external Partnership Team which serves as the church’s initial Board of Directors. These teams generally consist of the lead church planter, a facilitating representative of the Evergreen Network, representatives from key supporting churches and organizations, and any other individuals deemed appropriate by the lead planter and members of the Partnership Team.
This external Partnership Team helps to fund the planter’s vision and provide accountability and wisdom until the new church raises up local elders and becomes self-governing and self-supporting (typically around year 5). We have a high view of Biblical leadership and our desire is to establish churches that develop and disciple local leaders that model the characteristics of “elder” as described in the New Testament.
Would you please pray for the dozens of sacrificial leaders that serve each of our 11 active Partnership Teams? These individuals, representing churches from throughout the PNW and around the U.S., are the lifeblood of church planting for Evergreen Network. Their wisdom and commitment to heathy leaders and healthy congregations is crucial to the success of each of these new churches.
If your church would like to partner with Evergreen Network in this way, please let us know and we will set up a time to discuss our process and connect you with a project.
Mariners Game
We had as great night at the Mariners game on August 2nd with our Seattle area church planters! The Mariners even treated us to a 10-2 win over the Phillies! There is a lot to be excited about in Seattle and I’m not talking about baseball.
One Church NW officially launches their public worship services on September 29th in the heart of Seattle (South Lake Union/Belltown neighborhoods). Odyssey Church is preparing to launch public services next September in South Seattle (Tukwila/Seatac area).
We also have several potential Seattle area planters currently in our discovery process. God is up to something special in Seattle! Please be praying for each of these amazing leaders!
Help us Plant Churches in the PNW.
Whether you are a planter or a partner, our vision is to establish 50 healthy, multiplying churches throughout the Pacific Northwest within the next 10 years, including at least 10 churches led by leaders that are developed and sent out from Evergreen Network churches.
